Pandemic: Facing Aids

 

This five-part documentary looks at the tragic human cost of AIDS around the world. An Indian truck driver, dying of the disease, tries to care for his pregnant wife; an ailing Russian couple strive to win back their son from their parents who are raising him; a dying Thai prostitute wants to return to her village one last time; a couple in Uganda care for and instruct orphans whose parents died of AIDS; and a Brazilian man aims to reconcile with his family before he dies.
